HOW TO POST YOUR ENTRY AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Photos I would rather all images be uploaded to Elftown. Inlined photos sometimes don't show for everyone and it may cause trouble during the final voting period. If you are unsure how this is done, please message [Lothuriel] privately.

Photo entries must be posted with the following information.
-What TV or Film character is being depicted.
-The title of the Show or Film that is being represented.
-Where the photo was taken.
-The names of all individuals in the photo.
-Date the photo was taken

2. FILM I understand that video can not be uploaded or inlined to Elftown. Therefore, you are required to upload the film to a place such as www.youtube.com or www.photobucket.com then place the link in the contest entry wiki. There is no particular place you are required to upload the film as long as it can be viewed by the general public.

If the film is too long to upload all at once, you are welcome to upload it into parts and link them back to Elftown as My Film: Part 1, My Film: Part 2, and so on.

The films must be in English or subtitled in English. If the movie or television show is not American or popular worldwide, please provide a link to a website about it.

Film entries must be posted with the following information.
-What TV or Film character you are depicting.
-The title of the Show or Film that is being represented.
-A brief description of your fan film or parody.
-The names of all individuals in the film and which part they played.
-The credits for script, casting, editing, etc.

3. Movie Posters For this category, quality will be an issue. If you are unsure of the quality of your entry, please ask before you enter. Any artistic medium is acceptable. I would rather all images be uploaded to Elftown. Inlined photos sometimes don't show for everyone and it may cause trouble during the final voting period. If you are unsure how this is done, please message [Lothuriel] privately.

-The entry must look like a movie poster. In other words, you can't simply draw a picture and say, this is a movie poster.
-Fan Art or direct copies are not allowed. All elements used in photo manipulations must be your own.
-The movie poster must be of an original creation! Just as the film entries, the movie poster category is for parodies.
-A brief description is needed to explain of what movie the parody is.

Deadline: 10 Entrants per category

Judging and Prizes: Juding for both categories of this contest will be done in 2 ways. Judges from outside of Elftown will pick a set number of favorites. Those favorites will then be placed in a public poll.

For now, the awards will be special badges made specifically for this contest. Other prizes may be offered at a later date.

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: film would be cool though, but man that will take some preparation..

2007-06-27 [Lothuriel]: It doesn't have to be very long. I could be a brief 15 minute paraody or a complete film. That part is completely up to you. I knew it would take a l long time, that's why the deadline is a year from now. If the time comes and some have worked on their films and still need to edit and such, the deadline can always be extended.

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: when it comes to a 15 minute film it would probably still take a lot of preparation, but then again, that depends on how difficult you're going to make it for yourself.. i saw some star wars shorts that were brilliant, but have just been shot at convenient stores etc:p

2007-06-27 [Lothuriel]: LOL...convenient stores, eh? Are you talking about Darth Chad by chance?

I know that 25 minutes of film can take over a month to shoot. I once worked on a commercial for a local politician. It took 6 months to put together a 1min 30 second commercial!

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: yes thats the one XD brilliant:p

i know.. if you have free time and you have done all your pre-production work you can really get something neat done within a month, but if you arent prepared.. sheesh, fear overtime:p

2007-06-27 [Lothuriel]: Darth Chad rocks!! lol

And yeah, I know exactly what you mean. My job was finding ideal locations and setting up shoot times. That alone took a month! There was so much paper work and insurance crap. But, that is the difference between independent film and political commercials!

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: yes thats true.. saray and i will likely work something out and go scout for locations soon:p

2007-06-27 [Lothuriel]: <img:stuff/lo-gif.gif> I'm such a [Saray]\[Trennas] fangirl!

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: we notice XD

2007-06-27 [Lothuriel]: Oh nos! My cover has been blown!

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: what cover?:p

2007-06-27 [Lothuriel]: <img:44166_1164145197.gif>

2007-06-27 [Trennas]: aha, just what i thought:p

2007-06-28 [moira hawthorne]: its not fair tho =p .. Trennas already has two awesome excellent photos already! thats what my post... ooooh man they are both coool! *feeeels the sweat of competition* was about.. since I already told yopu in mesasage I thought the wikis were cool Lothuriel

2007-06-28 [Lothuriel]: ^___^ I know. But, I don't expect new things to be made if people already have them and if he does enter those photos, I won't be the one judging so I don't think it will be unfair to others...

*hugs* You are very creative Moira,I'm sure you'll come up with something equally as awesome!

2007-06-28 [NOOOPE]: Dude... this is awesome..... Oh the crazy thoughts boiling in my brain...

2007-06-28 [Lothuriel]: LOL...can't wait to see what teh M comes up with!!!

2007-06-28 [Kyrinn]: Ya know.. I might be able to come up with something for this...

2007-06-28 [Lothuriel]: <img:stuff/dand-gif.gif>Sweeeet!!! I can't wait to see what fandom tis lurking in the mind of my MASTER, the Great [Kyrinn] of the North!!!!

2007-06-28 [Kyrinn]: *giggles and bows* thank you thank you.. Ive several ideas but Ill have to see which one wins out. I need to find props, loL!

2007-06-28 [Lothuriel]: Gotta have props!
